The village of Arrochar is situated in an area well known for dramatic scenery. Known as The Arrochar Alps, the north approach takes visitors past the Rest and Be Thankful, dominated by Ben Arthur, better know as 'The Cobbler'.

Approaching the area from the South, visitors pass along the West shores of Loch Lomond, reaching Tarbet which is sits at the junction of the A82/A83.

Views along Loch Lomond are dominated by Ben Lomond.
