Cubs are open to boys and girls aged 8 to 10½. Weekly meetings aim to provide a mixture of activities, including games, crafts, experiments, drama, outdoor skills and many more.
Cubs can earn a wide range of badges by completing tasks and activities set by the Scout Association, some of which are completed during regular weekly meetings, while others can be done at home. Some games and activities involve the children working alone, while others encourage them to work in pairs or larger groups.
Joint meetings are sometimes held with the Beavers or Scouts, especially for our regular celebrations at Christmas, Halloween and the summer BBQ! In addition to regular meetings, other activities have included laser tag, bell-boating, archery, climbing, ice sliding and orienteering, and Cubs have camped at Beinghlas, near Inverarnan, and Auchengillan, as well as spending weekends at the Lochgoilhead Outdoor Activity Centre.
