Award for High Morlaggan

Fiona Jackson and Sue Furness, organisers of the project, entered the High Morlaggan Project for the Robert Kiln Trust award, which is an award given "for the best archaeology project, or a series of works or projects, carried out in the UK by a voluntary body or individual".

One of the judges came up to visit a few weeks ago and Fiona and Sue heard that the project had won! They’d like to extend a huge thanks to everyone who participated in the project and helped to make it such a success.

The award will be given out at the Archaeology 2010 conference at the British Museum in London at the end of February, so Fiona and Sue are busy preparing a short presentation to introduce London to the delights of muddy Morlaggan!
