Succoth
Succoth is a small hamlet at the head of Loch Long and on the west side of the River Loin.
Roy's Military Survey of Scotland (1747-1755) shows a number of buildings at Succoth, which was recorded as Soccach. You can zoom in to view this in detail.

The village of Arrochar is situated in an area well known for dramatic scenery. Known as The Arrochar Alps, the north approach takes visitors past the Rest and Be Thankful, dominated by Ben Arthur, better know as 'The Cobbler'.

This picturesque village is situated on the West shore of Loch Lomond this has been a popular tourist destination for many years. Queen Victoria described it as 'a small town' with 'splendid passes, richly wooded and the highest mountains rising behind'.
